Testimonies from parents and players on how the GYFL and their individual team has impacted their lives in a positive way!

The GYFL program has been really great for our kids.
They have learned teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and resiliency. The program has instilled competitive spirit and taught them that great things are always possible when you play as a team.
These lifelong lessons are ones that they will use and remember both on the field and off.
We wholeheartedly support and recommend the GYFL.

As a parent, I am so grateful to GYFL and BANC for taking my boys under their wing, teaching them about the sport of football but more importantly about teamwork, togetherness, respect and some of the life lessons a mom just can't teach.  I have been able to watch my boys celebrate winning, hold their heads up when losing and most importantly, have a whole lot of fun.  I have made some great connections with other parents, families and coaches!!  Grateful to be a part of BANC!!

Afters years of trying every other sport in town, and hating them, in 5th grade my son decided he wanted to play football.  After the first practice he was hooked!  He loved everything about it - the coaches, the kids, the practices and games, finally feeling like he belonged.  For four years he looked forward to the start of the football season, and now that he is moving on to GHS, I am confident that everything he learned during his time as a General will serve him well for his next 4 years on the football field.  Once a General, Always a General!
Lisa Gibson - Putnam Generals Mom

This organization means so much to me because it teaches me discipline, skills, and the game of football.  I get to have out with my friends, make new friends and learn from some of the best coaches ever.

BANC Football is really fun and a great experience.  You make good friends with other kids and have fun learning about football.  You also have fun doing other things besides football with your team.
Marco - BANC Raiders

Team work - every player, every position is important! Their confidence is stronger, learned how to work hard, work together, support each other, cause they all need one another!

We really enjoyed our first year in the program -- even more than we thought we would.  It was great seeing the boys not only to learn to play football but to learn to be better people by pulling together, respecting one another and the coaches.   An all-around great experience.  Thank you and the rest of the BANC crew for that.
Already looking forward to next season.

( Bantam Players’s letter to team mates )
Dear Team,
It has been a really amazing time with you guys.  We had really come together as a team.  The first time I saw you guys, I know that you would always be my brothers.  I will always remember you guys. You had all worked very hard in the whole season.  And you’ll soon realize all the blood, sweat and tears were worth it, even though we lost our first playoff game.   We had all been not just a team but a family.  A team doesn’t always work together and try their hardest but a family does.  Even when we were on the verge of collapsing, we stood tall.  Even when we were losing, we stood not just as a team but as a family.  Those were really the best times of my life.  The best times can only be with my family.
Sincerely,
Archer Manning age 9 - BANC Raiders

We remember putting all the football pads on our 8 year old and thinking we were crazy. We couldn't have been further from the truth. The Generals and GYFL has been one of the most positive experiences in our son's young life. He has become a better student, a great teammate and a better person from being a General. At a young age, he learned how to structure his time in order to get to practice. He gives 110% effort each practice because he cares about his team and his coaches. The commitment of the players is second only to that of the coaches. Each coach gives so much of their personal time to these kids. They bring an understanding of the game and how to keep the kids safe to each practice and game. GYFL has been a wonderful experience for our whole family.
